QUICK PICKS: Luscious news – October 7, 2014

QUICK PICKS NEWS AND GOSSIP: There’s a certain irony in following my post about infertility and childlessness with the news that Blake Lively is pregnant.

Whilst I can feel the agony of infertile women everywhere reacting this news, it just shows that life goes on, quite literally. Life is created, life is announced, and those of us who can’t have a child feel crap for a while.

Sadly, there’s no way to avoid it when a major celebrity is pregnant, especially one who is rich and beautiful, successful in her acting career and now developing a lifestyle brand, and married to a handsome husband.

So I figure we might as well acknowledge it, suck up any bitterness or jealousy by wishing them well, remind ourselves of all the great things we’ve got going on in our own lives, and divert ourselves with other news.
