LUSCIOUS TRAVEL: How we travelled first class for free (plus taxes) on our honeymoon using points

How to collect enough miles to fly for free

In March 2016, Mr Luscious and I finally made things official with our little registry wedding

And in April, we set off for a much-longed-for, 4-week honeymoon to Dubai, France, Switzerland and Italy, travelling from/to Australia in first class using points.

You can see all the photos via @myLusciousLife on Instagram, including some photos from our first class travel experience (including the Emirates first class shower!) by searching for #ALusciousWedding and #ALusciousHoneymoon.

Here’s how we saved points towards our honeymoon, and for our next luscious adventure…

LUSCIOUS TAKES A TRIP: Another visit to beautiful Hobart, Tasmania

 Beautiful Hobart

Luscious Lifers, there won’t be many posts for the next few days as we’re visiting Hobart in Tasmania, again.

Mr Luscious has some work to do, and I’m having fun writing my murder mystery novel and eating like there’s no tomorrow (the food here is divine).

We’re currently in Hobart, right on Salamanca, and then spending the weekend exploring the Huon Valley, staying in Cygnet.

Revisit our past posts and galleries from our 2013 visit to get an idea of how luscious it is here – think glorious scenery, a relaxed country town atmosphere, and sublime fresh produce:

Apologies to everyone who’s been coming back each day for a new Luscious post but not finding anything new – I’ve been distracted by the research and writing of my Luscious Guide: 10 weeks of luscious living in Paris, Central France and the French Riviera.

I hope you’ll like it. Watch this space!

In the meantime, I’m still posting regularly on FacebookPinterestInstagramGoogle+ and Twitter. And you might like the French-related photos here.

Luscious takes a trip: Visiting Hobart, Australia, in style

australia_tasmania_wineglass_bay near hobart

Hobart, the capital of Australian state, Tasmania, is a small and beautiful city, renowned for incredible food and wine using local produce. Mr Luscious and I have had several very happy visits there over the years, as it’s a quick flight from our home town of Melbourne, across Bass Strait.

For his 50th birthday, Mr Luscious said that he’d like a few days in Hobart to celebrate his half-century milestone. Here’s a look at our itinerary…
