I’ll be the first to admit that I’m jumping on the BB cream bandwagon a bit late. I didn’t even know what BB cream was until a few days ago! But now that I’ve tried on, I don’t think I’ll ever wear proper foundation again…
BB cream is an all-in-one cream that covers, colours and corrects, making your morning beauty routine that much shorter. For a girl who loves light coverage and fuss-free application, I think it’s kind of perfect.
Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream is the first BB cream I’ve tried.
It reminds me of tinted primer, and goes on thick and shiny like tinted sunscreen. Never fear though, within minutes it settles to a dewy-soft all-over cover. It looks just as good set with powder and light blush as it does on its own with simple curled lashes.
Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream also includes ingredients for smoothing and correcting uneven skin tone and blemishes over the long term. I found that I didn’t need concealer in the places I usually did (under eyes and on some troublesome zits), though I did feel the need to blend it into my neck as well.
It has moisturising ingredients, but I wouldn’t forgo my morning moisturiser in a hurry. It’s more the kind of moisture that keeps it from feeling heavy after it settles.
All in all, I really enjoyed using Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream, and will probably continue using it into the forseeable future.
If you’re not sure about trying yet another BB cream (though I’ve not tried them all, I know there’s a lot on the market), go in and see the folks at Kiehl’s. If you like their testers, they’re inclined to give you a sample to give any of their products a proper try. My sample sachet lasted me four days and is still going.
