A look at the luscious and luxe world of Hermes products, from scarves and perfume, glassware and crockery, handbags and luggage, furniture and fabrics, yachts and helicopters!
Hermes was founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermès (1801–1878) and produces luxury goods and elegant, ready-to-wear fashion. Their headquarters are in the famed Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. Learn more about the historical French brand, and the famous Hermes orange colour, via their official website as well as Wikipedia.
Personally, my very first extravagant purchase was a highly coveted Hermes silk scarf in the keys pattern when I earned my first salary, a million years ago. I remember eye-rolling and scoffing from my colleagues at the time, but I’ve never regretted it – it is still a stunning scarf and it makes me happy every time I wear it.
I highly recommend you invest in The Hermes Scarf: History & Mystique by Nadine Coleno, either for yourself or as a gift for a luxury-loving friend.
