When we were in Italy last time, we stayed at the divine JK Place Firenze, we were in love with the scent of the hotel…
General Manager, Claudio Meli, kindly shared the secret: It was a fragrant room diffuser called “Ambra” produced by personal friends of theirs, Dr Vranjes. And most fortunately, there was a shop right down the road.
Naturally, I raced off straight away and shopped up a storm!
And now, in our house, all the way across the world from Florence, in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula, in Australia, allows us to re-live some of our Italian adventures.
And – whilst I partially expect it from some of our kind, scent-loving friends – even strangers walking into our home comment on how lovely the house smells. [Insert a little moment of smugness!]

We use the room diffuser (ie. sticks in a bottle) but you can also get it as a room spray. I find the room diffuser to be easier, because you can set-and-forget, and just turn the sticks over when you remember.
