Fashion and accessories designer, Tory Burch, has done extremely well with her eponymous brand, enabling her to buy and redecorate a lavish $38 million property in the Hamptons, about 2 hours east of Manhattan. Take a look…
Tory was born in 1966 and raised in a 250-year old Georgian farmhouse, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, near the Valley Forge National Historical Park, and schooled in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The daughter of Reva Schapira and Ira Earl “Bud” Robinson, she has three brothers: Robert, James (pictured above) and Leonard. Read more from her bio here.
Where she lives today
Today she lives between an apartment in the Pierre Hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and the former Howard Gittis estate in the Hamptons.
Go inside her New York apartment, as well as a glimpse at her former home in the West Village:
She’s gone back to her Georgian-architecture roots with this 7-bedroom, 9.5 bathroom Georgian Revival brick home which was built in 1929 and sits on 15.4 park-like acres. It includes a separate carriage house, pool pavilion, swimming pool and tennis court.
Since the purchase, she brought in architect and designer Daniel Romualdez, and decorator Eve Hood, to help her give it her own touch. See the original listing for the $38 million property here.
