Famous folk at home: Tory Burch’s home in Southampton

Tory Burch's Southampton home

Fashion and accessories designer, Tory Burch, has done extremely well with her eponymous brand, enabling her to buy and redecorate a lavish $38 million property in the Hamptons, about 2 hours east of Manhattan. Take a look…

Background

Tory was born in 1966 and raised in a 250-year old Georgian farmhouse, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, near the Valley Forge National Historical Park, and schooled in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Where she lives today

Today she lives between an apartment in the Pierre Hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and the former Howard Gittis estate in the Hamptons.

Gittis, the right-hand man to Ron Perelman. died in 2007 and the property was put up for sale for $59 million, but sold for $38 million.

She’s gone back to her Georgian-architecture roots with this 7-bedroom, 9.5 bathroom Georgian Revival brick home which was built in 1929 and sits on 15.4 park-like acres. It includes a separate carriage house, pool pavilion, swimming pool and tennis court.
