If you’re curvy, tall or “plus-sized”, it can be tricky to find fashion that is still actually fashionable.
Here are some beautiful images with plus size models to remind you that there ARE nice options for full-figured, tall and curvalicious girls. And I’ve also included lots of links which might help you too, many of which ship their products around the world….
To be frank, I was thrilled to benefit from moving from a small B-cup to a DD-cup when I put on weight, but not loving the rest of my curves quite so much. I certainly don’t like shopping in person when there is so little choice, the larger sized items are just ugly and unflattering, and the staff look at you with disdain. I wish more designers would follow in the footsteps of Michael Kors, Donna Karan and Ralph Lauren by offering a selection of large sizes for the same beautiful frocks which we see on the runway.
I’ve taken to mostly shopping online these days to avoid bursting into tears in retail dressing rooms. (The last time I went shopping for a bra, I had to get down on all fours to locate the few (and extremely ugly!) plus-size bra options on the bottom rack, and the back of the display – I ended up sobbing in a very un-luscious manner and had to be rescued by Mr Luscious – not my finest moment!)
