Mr Luscious and I live in a lovely seaside village called Mount Martha, about an hour south of Melbourne, on the Mornington Peninsula, so we’ll embracing heat and sand rather than snowballs and snowflakes.
We’ve got a large lot of family coming to Chez Luscious tonight (Christmas Eve) and then we’re off to my parents for a small-and-relaxed Christmas lunch.

Christmas food
Here’s what we’re thinking for our Christmas menu tonight:
- roast turkey roll (stuffed with nuts, camembert cheese, herbs – yum!), roast chicken, baked ham, roast vegetables such as potatoes and pumpkin, plus peas, green beans and gravy
- possibly seafood and roast pork or roast lamb
- a vegetarian-friendly, gluten-free rice pilaf and cauliflour curry bake
- cranberry sauce, apple sauce
- gluten-free desserts: cherry cake and Pavlova
- traditional Christmas pudding
- custard, cream, icecream, Brandy sauce
- perhaps cookies and chocolates too, and maybe something with pomegranates if I can get organised!

Last year I made a white chocolate candy cane cake which, to be egotistical, was pretty fab. Sadly, not enough time to make it this year.
Here’s a link to a fab recipe for Cranberry Mojitos, via the We Are Not Martha blog.
