LUSCIOUS STYLING

Hello! I’m launching a new Luscious project: a floral, home and event styling service. ⠀⠀⠀

I’m providing assistance for those wanting to ensure their home and parties are as luscious as possible. Some people want help styling their house for sale, or listing it on AirBnB. Other people need flowers, plates and cutlery for a small dinner party. Or maybe they need some suggestions about what to buy a special friend.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is where I can help. I’ve been living this life on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne, for quite a while now, so send me an Instagram message, or email me at [email protected]

I’ve also launched a new little Luscious store filled with some current favourites, as well as a new Luscious Style Instagram account. I’d love it if you followed!

Cheers, Natasha

PERSONAL UPDATE: What I’ve been up to (and why I haven’t been posting much)

LUSCIOUS LIVING: Pink peonies

Hi Luscious Lifers,

A little note to let you know that my book writing has been coming along pretty well since I’ve been having a bit of a hiatus from everything else.

I’ve mostly set aside the crime novel (about 100,000 words written) which I’m keen on but find psychologically taxing (death and all!) in favour of the attempt-at-humour novel which is much easier to write and is currently at 53,000 words.

This novel started out as something to amuse my friends, based on posts on my personal Facebook page. But it has fictional characters instead of real ones because I can’t stand the potential angst from friends or family thinking they see themselves in it. Relationships are hard enough without someone you like taking offence!

I’m having fun with my writing, most of the time. I’ve found that the only way to be productive has been to block out pretty much every other thing that used to distract me, so my time largely consists of being a hermit and playing tennis. (My tennis, I’m relieved to say, is starting to improve at long, long last.) I could not be more grateful to Mr Luscious for helping me to escape the rat race of my former corporate life to spend my days being creative.

Mr Luscious and I are terrific, by the way, although he’s very busy with his own work, and I’ve shared some moments on Instagram for anyone who is interested, and the occasional link or photo gallery on Facebook (even though FB is horrible for not sharing posts, grrr).

Sorry to those of you who think I’ve fallen off the planet.

I’m here, I’m happy, and I’m writing.

LUSCIOUS TRAVEL: How we travelled first class for free (plus taxes) on our honeymoon using points

How to collect enough miles to fly for free

In March 2016, Mr Luscious and I finally made things official with our little registry wedding

And in April, we set off for a much-longed-for, 4-week honeymoon to Dubai, France, Switzerland and Italy, travelling from/to Australia in first class using points.

You can see all the photos via @myLusciousLife on Instagram, including some photos from our first class travel experience (including the Emirates first class shower!) by searching for #ALusciousWedding and #ALusciousHoneymoon.

Here’s how we saved points towards our honeymoon, and for our next luscious adventure…
